He arrived into the world 10 days early…fast and easy (story here)…the exact size I hoped and prayed for…and the most alert of all our meatballs. Announcing….

After just 5 hours from first contraction to delivery….a short 20 minutes in the hospital…and just 3 pushes…here you are. Your first moment with Mama:
My sweet and wonderful labor doulas (and dear friends) Kristy (left) and Jen (right) who were at Sebastian’s birth, but this time only made it in time to see August’s first minutes of life (that is what happens when you only have 26 minutes at the hospital!)
Hey there bright eyes! You came out so fast you are not even tired!
The nurses were so wonderful and sweet. I will say it time and time again, I LOVE my hospital! UCSD Hillcrest has to have the best staff in the world! Here is just one example…I was all cold and shivery so she wrapped me up like a mummy to move from Labor and Delivery to Recovery…
As we exited we got to ring this little door bell that played a lullaby…a new addition to the hospital since Sebastian’s birth 2 years ago.
And then the rest, tests, and visitors began….some of our favorite parts about having a baby!
