In years past we have gone to Bates Nut Farm for our pumpkin patch experience. Two years ago when Dayla was in PEPP, I went on a field trip with her to Oma’s Pumpkin Patch. It is a family run dairy farm that opens it’s gates for children and a “pumpkin patch” for the fall. When we went for the field trip, I knew immediately I would probably never go back to Bates Nut Farm. Oma’s is AMAZING. This year we went for the first time as a family together.
This is why Oma’s is my favorite pumpkin patch of all time. Not only is it completely family owned and operated…there is more.
When you go on the hay ride you get to see the dairy farm. They have pretend cows you can “milk”. They have a hay maze, a petting zoo, a play ground, homemade games to play, a cotton seed mountain to slide down, tractors to play on, and of course your admission includes a pumpkin to take home. They really do a fantastic job. So this year we went as a family and just the best day ever. Dayla was the sweetest big sister to her brothers. The kids had such a blast and enjoyed every little bit. They even let me take non-stop pictures which I adored because the light was just right.
It was a great, great day.The only tears were when we had to go home.
